alanhinkel > 02."Great Egret Reflection" (Ardea alba) Grand Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve(GNERR)in Jackson County,Mississippi.16 December 2008.This photo was taken around 9:45 in the morning but I do see the loss of detail in the birds wings.This is my most popular photo of my collection.Thanks for all of the comments.They are greatly appreciated.Someone suggested I get rid of the tree reflection going through the bird.Please let me know what you think.The photo without the tree is in my Daily Photos Gallery beside this one.Thanks.

alanhinkel > 05."Baby Tabby in the Shade".I named him Red.Exif:I took this shot while I was in the shallow end of my pool.The pool is built up around 3 feet because of the high water tables here.So the pool digger only had to dig about 4 inches in the shallow end and 5 feet in the deep end.Anyway,that is how I got the low angle shot of this cute kitten.

alanhinkel > 07."Sundown over the Gulf"02 January 2010.(2 of 365).I had a few photos to choose from today,but I chose this because I haven't taken a good sunset shot lately,and I like the Piling Reflections and the Land that gives it depth.I hope Ya'll enjoy it.I made a 13 x 19 inch print today with my new Canon Pixma 9500 Mark II printer and it turned out great.
alanhinkel > 08."Siblings Showing their SmugMugs".These Pups were being sold from the bed of a truck in a Wal-Mart parking lot on the 24th of January 2009.I petted and played with some for a while.They didn't seem to be unhappy,and I'm sure they sold very quickly.I have two cats,so,I couldn't get one,but it was hard to resist.
alanhinkel > 10.National Park.The Pine Grosbeak is a large member of the Finch Family.They are found in coniferous woods across Alaska,the western mountains of the United States,Canada,and in the subarctic Fennoscandia and Siberia.
